I have quite great expectations for this one.

The story is set in an alternate future world after Tokyo's Shibuya district was destroyed in 2009, followed by the destruction of the Radio Kaikan building in Tokyo's Akihabara a year later.

 The world is immersed in realistic augmented reality technology in 2019, but a high school robotics club in danger of being disbanded after shrinking to just two members. The club's revival is tied to the robot it is building.  

Tsuritama fishing anime will be directed by Kenji Nakamura

This is amazing, I can't wait!

Fuji TV has revealed that the fifth Noitamina anime series will be directed by Kenji Nakamura (Ayakashi, Mononoke, Kuchu Buranko, C).

Tsuritama, a fishing anime set on Japan’s Enoshima island starring four teen boys and a pet duck, will premiere in April. Yuichi Takahashi (Macross Frontier, Iron Vendetta) is providing the animation character designs based on concept designs by Atsuya Uki (Cencoroll). A-1 Pictures is animating the series.

The series will premiere on October 13 on Nnoitamina block of Fuji TV and looks very promising!

New Black Rock Shooter anime announced!

It will air in the Nnoitamina slot of Fuji TV in January of next year. While studio Ordet will animate the production, director Yutaka Yamamoto of the original OVA will not be associated with the project.

Hmm not sure what to make of this, I don't necessarily want to imply that there will be a decrease in quality until I see the first trailer, right?

Even AnimeNation's commenter notes that 'This production was easy to see coming, but airing this as a Noitamina series seems to outright contradict the original purpose and theme of Noitamina programming. The Noitamina block was launched to feature anime targeted at non-otaku viewers. BRS is about as hardcore otaku-oriented as anything gets.'
