Fairy Tail anime will end on March 30

There is still an OAD coming up, though. As long as they don't troll their audience on and off like Gintama anime. o.o

"ANN confirmed that Kodansha's TV Magazine announced on Friday that the Fairy Tail anime's television broadcast run will end on March 30. The adaptation of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail fantasy adventure manga premiered on Japan's TV Tokyo station in October 2009.

The April issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is revealing on Monday that the Driland anime will begin a new run in Fairy Tail's current Saturday 10:30 a.m. timeslot on April 6.
However, Mashima posted a statement to fans on his official Twitter feed on Saturday:

Until the time comes, I cannot say something I've always wanted to say, even on Twitter. Please be patient and wait until the time comes for me to announce some good news."

Details of the Fairy Tail manga volume 36 special edition

The limited edition of Fairy Tail manga volume 36 includes a lot of goodies. Kodansha streamed a trailer showcasing a special prologue DVD titled 'Hajimari no Asa' (The Morning of the Beginning), and a set of 16 postcards. This special edition will cost around $46.

 

Fairy Tail movie teaser

The film story about the Fairy Tail heroes encountering a mysterious young women with amnesia was composed by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima. Mashima also designed the movie’s new characters. Masaya Fujimori (You Are Umasou) directs at studio A-1 Pictures. The action/comedy movie will hit Japanese theaters on August 18. source: ANN

Fairy Tail Adventure Manga Gets Film Next August!!

About time!

The email newsletter for Kodansha's Comic Plus members revealed on Wednesday that a film adaptation of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga will open next August.

More details will be provided in future postings of the newsletter. The manga and the ongoing television anime follow the adventures of world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail.

In addition to the television series, three original anime DVDs have been bundled or will be bundled with the manga. Del Rey published the 12th volume of the original manga in North America last September, and Kodansha resumed publishing the manga in English with the 13th volume this past February. Crunchyroll streams the television anime into several countries as it airs in Japan, and Funimation will release the first DVD/Blu-ray set in November.
